Working Groups: Jobs
Ending worker exploitation
The Jobs Working Group is focused on community empowerment through equitable economic development initiatives that protect workers.
All workers have the same rights
We believe women of color should be at the forefront of leadership because their voice are important
We believe municipal and state governments should work harder to know who they contract with and under what conditions
We will work to improve employment conditions that fortify accountability of employers
to follow policies that avoid accidents on the job
to protect workers against sexual harassment and assault
We must address worker abuse that is occurring in specific industries such as used clothes, downtown businesses and the food service industry.
People who are undocumented are fearful of workplace retaliation for speaking out. We must work to empower them to hold abusive employers accountable
