Today at 6 PM— The Rio Grande Valley Equal Voice Network’s (RGV-EVN) working group will host a presentation about cooperatives which will be conducted in Cameron and Hidalgo Counties today and tomorrow. Today’s presentation will occur in the Brownsville Community Health Center and tomorrow’s will be at the Alamo Community Resource Center. Presenting will be Andrea Harrington, a Microenterprise Lawyer from Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid. Small group activities and a question and answer session will follow the conclusion of the presentation.
The RGV-EVN working group is focused on the improvement of employment conditions for all workers by ensuring safe working conditions, ensuring that workers are paid a fair wage for the hours they work, and protecting workers against sexual harassment and assault.
